Corporate Social Responsibility
We conduct CSR activities that are promoted by our all employees. Working through food, we fulfill our responsibilities to our stakeholders, such as customers, employees and their families, and society. We aim to be a good partner, connecting and collaborating with people to create smiles in their lives.
CSR is generally said to stand for “Corporate Social Responsibility.” However, our understanding of CSR is not simply activities to fulfil a responsibility - rather we see CSR as an acronym for “Creating Smiles and Relationships” and we promote proactive, positive activities among all our employees.
In regard to our environmental activities, we promote them within our core operations by developing the House Foods Group environmental policies and adopting the ISO14001 environmental management system.
In our social contribution activities, we are promoting activities that contribute to addressing social issues through food. We will contribute to the realization of a better society by establishing and maintaining trust relationships with our stakeholders while seeking to maintain a balance between international society and regional societies.
We are also focusing on diversity, including promoting active participation by women, aiming for a society where everyone, regardless of gender, age and nationality, can feel fulfilled and actively participate.
Inclusion in socially responsible investing (SRI) indices
SRI is criteria used for consideration of equity investment where investment decisions are made based on the verification and assessment of how a company is fulfilling its social responsibility, as well as on financial performance. In recognition of CSR activities through its core businesses, the Group is included in the following SRI indices.

The MSCI Japan ESG Select Leaders Index is designed to represent the performance of companies that have high ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) performance which are selected from the constituent stocks of the MSCI Japan IMI Top 500 Index. The Company has been granted an “A” ESG Rating by MSCI INC.

Evaluation of Activities
Certified as a Health and Productivity Management Organization 2019 (White 500).
The Certified Health and Productivity Management Organization Recognition Program certifies large enterprises and SMEs engaging in outstanding efforts for “health and productivity management” based on their initiatives for overcoming health-related challenges in communities and promoting health-conscious activities led by the Nippon Kenko Kaigi. In this third recognition program, 821 and 2,503 enterprises have been certified in the large enterprise category and the SME category, respectively. House Foods Group Inc. and House Foods Corporation have been certified in the large enterprise category for the first time while House Ai-Factory Corporation has been certified in the SME category for the third consecutive time.
